Not many know what to do with a blank canvas. Someone could sit there for hours in front of one, and turn up with nothing. A struggling storyboard artist assigned himself the job of giving substance to the blandest character ever, and emerged victorious alongside an Adonis of personality. Shortly after, his path crosses with a dull young man with a potential to change. With the glory of his previous breakthrough guiding him, Daniel the Storyboard Artist decides to paint his new friend a new personality, and with it comes a different kind of character arc.

"I push him off me, making him stand on his own. But, Colton pushes me against a wall. 'Jax,' He sighs. Colton leans forward, his lips approaching mine. Soon, Colton kissed me with so much power that my head hit the wall behind me. I was stunned, and pushed him off me. 'Co-Mr. Haynes, we can't do this,' I tell him. He laughs, and leans against me. 'I like it when you call me Mr. Haynes. It's sexy,' he whispers the last part into my ear." ~~~ Jax was spending a casual night at the club, when he met the most handsome man in his life. He felt a spark, an instant connection. Or, maybe that was the beer talking. One week later, Jax was not looking forward to his last year in high school. He thought it couldn't get any worse than his horrible and abusive father, and his mother leaving that summer. But, he got to be reunited with his boyfriend, Rhett. But, Rhett becomes controlling. Abusive. And his former friend Zander will do anything to date him- even blackmail. That was when Jax thought his year couldn't get any worse. That is, until he met his music teacher, Mr. Haynes. The same man he slept with not so long ago. To make matters worse, he discovers he has a half brother named Ash, who is suddenly dumped on him and his father. Will Jax be able to make it through the year with Rhett, Mr. Haynes, Zander, his father, and even Ash seemingly going after him? Or will he collapse, and take his life like his older brother Dash has? *Contains mature content, such as sex, fowl language, LGBTQ+ (some people find it offensive), age difference, and suicide/suicidal thoughts. "What if I'm not one?" I asked, my body wound tight with tension. "One what?" he asked, his voice soft and low. I hesitated. Was I ready? I wanted to tell him so badly. Wanted to scream it from the fucking rooftops. But there would be no going back if I allowed the words to spill out into the world. Telling myself I didn't need someone else's validation, that I knew myself well enough to know with absolute certainty that I was trans was all good and well in principle. But lying here underneath my bed, with my best friend's body pressed so close to mine I could feel his warm breath on my face, I felt those convictions slip through my fingers. Danny's rejection would break me. In a fundamental way. "One what?" he repeated the question, scooting so close to me the tip of his nose brushed mine. Dust motes danced around us, suspended in mid air, teetering on the brink of this momentous feeling wrapping itself around us. I squeezed my eyes shut, pushing down the rush of anxiety trying to drown me. His nose bumped mine again and his breath ghosted over my lips. I opened my eyes and stared unblinkingly into his. 'A girl', I wanted to say, even though I knew the words would taste sour in my mouth, 'what if I'm not a girl?' -------------------------------------- Sean and Danny have been next door neighbours and best friends since they were six years old. They've shared almost everything. From first kisses and crushes to heartbreak. But Sean has a secret. But it's Senior year and choices have to be made. Between college applications, uncovering a plan to hurt one of their classmates and his relationship with Danny, Sean is struggling with doing the right thing and graduating high school in one piece. ⭐to cross oceans for is PART I of Sean and Danny's story⭐ *TW: sexual assault and bullying *
