Morning of her 16th birthday, Charlotte Hurley, or better known as Charlie, woke up with a blistering headache. Thinking nothing of it, she went on with her day like any other day. Just another birthday. She didn't know that her world was going to change. For better or worse, she didn't know. But changed nonetheless.

I honestly didn't realize how broken I was. I just figured that if I shut all my feelings out that they would go away. They didn't. They came back strong as ever. And I did the worst thing that I could do. I let my feelings get the best of me. My daddy told me to never let anyone walk over me. And yet that is exactly what everybody does.
