When skin and bone are stolen, darkness uses wings of flesh and lead.

                                                                                         ********

Beneath the vibrant city of Mallinasport, awash in the pollution is Imus, a community as bleak as the futures of those who live there.
With little food or water, it's all Aeris can do to make it day by day and keep the shop her father left her running. When the fabled circus returns, it brings a small reprieve from daily life.

Or so it seems until Aeris is delivered a mysterious warning and a boy falls from the sky. Darkness haunts the night, taking people with it. Aeris finds herself captive in a twisted and barbaric ploy for power, in a world forgotten beneath the city.

Enlisting the help of a fellow captive, they must plan their escape before Aeris is sent to the arena, or killed.

The boy from the sky holds the key to saving her.

Sex, drugs and the death-dealing pressure to make money night after night - It's a steep, downward spiral which 20-year-old Elijah Everdeen has found himself stuck in ever since his parents died. If it weren't for his two siblings, he would have given up years ago. For a long time, he wanted to, thought about it every day even. Sometimes - in the cruelest, darkest of nights - he still does. But if this black-and-white world has really become Elijah's grim reality, then why is this young, mysterious man capable of adding color and a heartbeat to this dreadfully achromatic still life Eli is trapped in? Who is he? And...who is he REALLY? ~~~~~ DISCLAIMER: The storyline of this book is entirely fictional, it does not intend to mimic or describe real circumstances. Fate and Destiny (The Fated Series, #2)

107 parts Complete

A kingdom across the sea, a man in pain clawing at a hated king who bears two shadows who protect him. A child, born from a mother with the powers of the Gods, screaming at a blood-soaked bed. A boy, a Prince, kind and full of the flame of life, sitting beneath a moon bug lit sky. Darkness enfolds the lands, its grasp claiming the continent and making its way from an already broken island, only to be stopped by the hands of fate. The hands of the girl and the Prince, and their love for the people in need of protection. This is their prophecy. This is their destiny and their fate depends on it. The Elemental rulers and their family are just beginning to find allies from unlikely and unimaginative places while creatures of myth and legend resurface from their campfire tales, and things aren't going as planned, so they'll have to find myths and legends of their own. Shouldn't be too hard. #6 - #strong-heroine #41 - #banter **Average Word Count Per Chapter: 8,000 **Edited (x2) LET ME KNOW IF YOU SPOT GRAMMAR ISSUES! *****Last Edited: 12/14/2024 NOTE FROM ME! - I very much model my works to resemble published examples, so there are no notes in any chapters from me, trigger warnings for chapters, etc. Just the world my brain likes to escape to every now and then.
