It starts off a few weeks after the last chapter (in book 2). Most men have been recruited since America joined the war. Jack and Rose aren't doing so financially well because of that. Business is low. And Rose isn't acting. As Jack as their only source of income. How will they pull through? How will they deal with shocks along the way? How will they cope? What will happen?
