Silver Linings

In the town of Landsfield, thirteen year old Isabella just lost her mom due to cancer. Having to move to Dawsbury with her unwelcoming aunt and cousins didn't make things any easier for her. She is constantly walking on egg shells, hoping that she stays out of their cruel ways and is unseen. Times were rough as her dad is left in a coma after a car accident. Feeling hopeless and trapped, Isabella knew that she was completely alone. Trying to do anything that, was once simple, was now so difficult to endure because of Isabella's broken heart. Coming out of the shell of middle school and going into the world of high school, life gets even worse. Through many essays, projects, and the torture of being the "new kid", she meets Mike Parker, the school's star athlete and son to the Mayor of Dawsbury. Though he could have been your typical jock with all the fame and recognition, Mike is humble and has a kind heart; and for some time, his heart has been set on Isabella. Not knowing that he was fond of her, she turns him down when he seems to ask her out out of the blue. There was so much going on in her life, there was just no place for him. However, her rejection only makes Mike try harder to attract Isabella . Eventually, he captures her attention and a once fragmented heart was starting to mend the more she spends sweet moments with him. But the reality of Isabella's situation could never be masked puts a strain on their relationship, eventually tearing them apart. There always a silver lining to every situation, but will Mike be able to help Isabella find it? Every one that comes into your life is there for a reason, and Isabella's journey to understand life's mysteries just may teach her her own silver lining.
