Toriel's brother, Asgore, tells her to stay inside while he fights the human. He, unfortunately, does not survive. He leaves a note for his little sister in his notebook, telling her there is a large door in the forest, and that the man who lives behind it will keep her safe until she can see him again. His only dying wish is for her to be protected and happy. So she follows her brother's instructions to let him be at peace in death.

This causes her to feel saddened and hide her ears and tail for good while in public. What will happen when something forces her to reveal her specialties once again? (This is post-pacifist ending and an AU where Chara and Asriel don't die and Toriel and Asgore are never divorced. It will be a Harry Potter crossover and include some elements from Aphmau's Mystreet. You have been informed. Also, the original cover was from Stronger Than You; Frisk Response.
