This is a chronicle of the lives of a few trying to survive the modern era despite being the denizens of the past. Beings of myths and legends that walk amongst humans in secret, just trying to get along in life.
This story in specific follows one such being, Veldvane Touriette, an especially old creature from the early eleven hundreds of Great Britain. Once the famed 'Terror of Britain' she became nothing more than rumor and legend.
But legends and rumors are always based on something.

What seems to be a match made by the avaricious King of Kaupa, turns out to be a match made by the gods. I have tears in my eyes; one is running down my cold cheek. I see his eyes widen and him falling to his knees beside the tub. He grasps my left arm forcefully, his eyes wide with fear. "You will never have me..." My voice breaks, but I manage to force out the words that are edged in my mind, and in my heart. "I curse you, everything you ever love shall die, everything you ever try shall fail, everything you ever wish for shall be denied you, my curse will ruin you, but the gods... the gods will end you..." I draw in a shaky breath, and gather the last of my strength. "The gods are as sardonic as they are vengeful... You shall die by the hand of The Spirit Warrior..." In the few moments after I say those words, there is utter silence and the only thing I hear is the sound of my blood hitting the water in the tub, which is already painted red. When you're a 700-year old creature, attempting to fit in with the modern lifestyle may be a bit of a drag. Perhaps you'll make new friends, find a wonderful career, a nice place to settle down in, or manifest true love with someone. Maybe you'll be too stricken by the burden and weight of your ancient memories... but whatever the case, you'll soon come to find that even the humans themselves are very wayward. Things to be wary of, Reader: If some of the tags to this little tale didn't give it away already, there will be heavy amounts of grotesque violence with even heavier bouts of eroticism. Notes to also keep in mind, Each little 'season' or 'part' is divided up by seven chapters. All will look normal up until you reach the sixth and seventh chapters, whereby the title-text will be in a bold font. Also, perspectives of narration will change. If the chapter says 'Chapter' like normal, then you can expect Gwyllomay to be narrating it... as this is mostly his life, after all. Otherwise, if the chapter's title says 'Capitol' then this means that the POV is in the 'third-person's omniscient telling'. This is important, for the writer believes that it is not fun to tell a story without different points of view. As such, Gwyllomay's cannot be the entirety of this story. Alternative Synopsis: Formerly the king of all vampyres, Gwyllomay Polidori now simply wants to settle down for a modern and quaint life amongst the humans who once feared him. Gwyllomay must come to defend his mortal friends from the lesser likes of his kind whilst also fighting off vampyre-hunters who would wish him great peril. Soon enough, however, this dangerous charade of slice-of-life-on-action turns out to unravel itself into an even greater mystery.Lengkap
