(DISCONTINUED) Merlin burst into the room, slamming the door open with all the carelessness of someone in a hurry.
"Murdock lied."
Arthur paused, his quill hovering above the parchment like a reluctant bird of prey.
"Merlin," the Prince started, his eyes already rolling, his nose already wrinkling, "I don't think-"
"No, Arthur. Murdock lied. He lied about everything."

Who's to say that he shouldn't be telling the truth?
When Merlin and the knights find a boy half-drowned, they have no choice but to take him into the heart of Camelot.
Little do they know, the boy is hiding much more than just his name.

Please be Aware - this story takes place in between Season 3 and Season 4 of Merlin. Morgana has vanished from the lands and Uther is still on the throne, though broken by Morgana's betrayal. Although this plot does not directly tie in with any previous or future episodes, characters and references from said episodes will be included. Enjoy!

When he meets Arthur Pendragon, he can't help but hate the prat. Of course, until he gets to know him better. Meanwhile, Morgana scours the kingdom for the sorcerer Emrys. Desperate to find him before he finds her. When her search leads her towards Ealdor, she's surprised to find Arthur there, and with a scrawny peasant boy no less. As their paths cross in the usually uneventful village, it becomes a race between the son and daughter of Uther Pendragon to either save or destroy Emrys.Complete
