We were walking in the rain and his lettermans jacket was around my shoulders. We just finished our biggest argument and this was his way of apologizing. He loves walking in the rain, it always makes him feel better. After this I won't see him for a long time, this is what happened every year, we saw each other for a short time and then he was gone. He lives in Fresno and he goes to high school out there he's a tenth grader. I'm thirteen and he's sixteen, some people think it's wrong were so different. My family doesn't support me and they never will. He stopped walking and held me around the waist. He looks into my eyes and I look into his, and we kiss. I melt to my core and I forgive him for everything.

Two years later

"No you don't understand, once you understand, you won't ever try to leave. Just stop struggling, it doesn't have to be this hard you're just being difficult." He tells me as he ties my hands behind my back. I wait until he loosens his grip and then I throw my weight back and try to get up. Then he grabs my arm, and stabs me with a needle, I flinch, but the damage is done. He steps back and watches as I get dizzy and fall to the floor, out like a light.
