"You are a thief Draco Malfoy. You know that?"
"A thief? I didn't steal your bloody diary!"
"No you didn't, but you're still a thief and a very good one."
"Really? How so?"
"Because... no matter how many walls I build, no matter how hard I try to ignore you, or how well I hide my true colours, my true emotions, you still managed to steal my heart..."

Esme is a young witch who lives in her perfectly rich Manor, with her perfect family, having what one would call a perfect life. Perfect right?
Wrong.
To her it is far from perfect. Nothing and no one is perfect. That has always been her opinion.
But she isn't very sure of that when a certain platinum haired boy comes into her life and makes her feel things she has never experienced before...

After the war, Draco Malfoy returns to a changed world, one where the lines between right and wrong are no longer clear, and the weight of his past sins grows heavier with each passing day. His family's power and influence have waned, and his name, once a symbol of privilege, now evokes whispers of suspicion and fear. Draco isolates himself, hiding behind the cold, aristocratic mask he's worn all his life, afraid to let anyone see the man beneath. Enter Cassiopeia Liora Blackthorn, a bold and compassionate young witch from one of the most esteemed pureblood families. She, too, has returned to Hogwarts, hoping to rebuild her life after the war. But unlike others, Cassiopeia doesn't see Draco as a symbol of darkness-she sees the cracks in his armor, the flicker of regret in his eyes. Thrown together by circumstance, they are reluctant partners on a school project, tasked with rebuilding an ancient library lost to time. As they work side by side, Draco finds himself drawn to her kindness, though he fights to keep his distance, unwilling to believe that someone like her could care for someone like him. Cassiopeia, however, is determined to break through his walls, curious about the boy behind the mask. But just as Draco begins to let his guard down, strange occurrences begin to unfold at Hogwarts. Dark forces long thought defeated stir in the shadows, and once again, Draco is thrust into a world of danger. As secrets are uncovered and trust is tested, the two find themselves bound by more than just fate. In a story of redemption, forgiveness, and the undeniable pull of love, "Shattered Masks" explores whether a boy marked by darkness can be saved by the light of someone who dares to see him for who he truly is. Together, Draco and Cassiopeia must face the ghosts of their past and learn that sometimes, love means letting the mask fall-even when you're afraid of what's underneath.

It's been one year since Hermione had lost Ron. She's growing tired of friends and family treating her as if she could break at any second. All she wants to do is be there for her daughter, Rose. As life would have it, she gains a new friend, and maybe even a second chance at love. Draco has been a single parent for a while. He wants to be the best dad that he can be to Scorpius. His life has become even more complicated when he tries to help his new friend, his former boss, Hermione Jean Granger-Weasley. ~excerpt: How could Ginny do this to her? To her! They were supposed to be best friends, sisters even. A hand wrapped around her wrist. "Go away Ginny." She bit the words out. A low chuckle rumbled behind her. "Too bad I'm not the Potter." Why did he have to follow after her! "Go away, Malfoy." The hand dropped away from her wrist. "So, it's Malfoy again." The pain in his words brought Hermione to a halt. "Why did you follow after me?" She whispered without turning around. Draco chuckled and she could imagine him running his hand through his hair. "It's quite obvious why Ginny did this." Hermione turned around to look at him, stunned that he had called Ginny by her name. He brought his eyes to meet hers and laughed. "Apparently, not that obvious." He continued when she remained quiet. "She's playing matchmaker." Ginny was doing what! Hermione was going to have to have a long chat with her friend. "I'll tell her to stop." She said tersely. "Why?" Did he really just ask her why? He should be the one to know why, Hermione had told him the reason why they would never be together. Then she remembered his words from that day, he had told her that she was worth the wait. . . . . . . . Characters belong to J.K Rowling.
