Maybe it was the fact that her father died when she was only ten, but it seems like darkness is drawn to Lea. Her father died from unknown causes. Almost as if he was never there at all. I say this because the police never did discover his body. They assumed he was dead because that was the most logical explanation. Lea never came to terms with this. She's been discovering secrets for years. recently, she's been having nightmares. All of them Include a boy. not just a normal boy... a demon. Will she ever find her father?

On the run, Johnny is severely injured and fights to survive. Due to the injury, he develops an infection which leads him to having a grave and ill fever. Was this to avoid death or her lover? She couldn't really say but the only thing was some characters were now different from the initial novel plot especially Derek whom she loved.
