Requiring a powerful vessel to summon his soulmate back to life, Klarion kidnaps hero Zatanna to assist him on a quest to find all he needs for the dark ceremony and to serve as said vessel.
Little do they know, this journey will tax more than just their hate for each other when an enemy will do anything to stop the resurrection of the Princess of Pandemonium, by attempting to kill Zatanna first.
With no choice but to keep her close to guard her, Klarion must put aside his aversion to 'baby magic'. In a strange world where she knows only one person, Zatanna must assist Klarion in exchange for his protection.
Perhaps, the Lord of Chaos will come to see the Mistress of Magic as more than just a Gateway for his love.
