One day, Apocalypse came to pass.

   It started with a fog that engulfed the world. Thick and heavy in the atmosphere, nearly unbreathable to humans and able to corrupt a soul. It killed livestock, pulled buildings to the ground and deadened the soil. 

  After a month, shields were erected over major cities to keep it out, but by then humanity could no longer see the sun.

     Next, they disappeared - the citizens in shieldless towns and the towns themselves - completely consumed by the fog. And in their place came monsters, beasts that craved human flesh and blood  and knew nothing but destruction.

   In a matter of days, only half of humanity remained. . . but they didn't plan on going down without a fight.

In the beginning, humans were nearly wiped out before a small percentage of awakened humans grew powerful enough to withstand the monsters and slay them thanks to the discovery of the level system. Now, after two centuries, humanity has flourished once more. The awakened humans were now celebrated thanks to their powers and classified as hunters. With ranks from F to SSS. Several types of hunters exist. From Mages to Warriors, Assassins to Knights, and many more. Hunters can have a maximum of two classes and reach a level of up to 100,000. Yet even as mighty as they can become, humanity has yet to stop the creator and ruler of the dungeons. As such, many dungeons have still been broken, unleashing the monsters upon the world. During a foray into a dungeon rated SSS, a group of A class hunters who let their egos run wild and dive into it. Yet the hunters were quickly overrun. seeing an opportunity to escape, they heavily wound an eternal level 1 hunter and leave him as bait. A good plan.... if it had been any other hunter. After the betrayal that he had suffered, this eternal level 1 hunter had a very powerful ability. One that finally fulfilled its requirements to unlock. Now follow Izuku Midoriya as he ventures on through a world filled with dangers, both apparent and hidden.

With no one for company but each other, danger lurking only a few yards away from their homes, and half of their loved ones swept away in a mysterious event known only as 'The Vanishing', the morale of the populous is at an all time low. It's only getting worse for some, as their cities that are supposed to be providing for them are failing to do so. Survivors Wesly and Valentine aren't content with this, however, especially since Val's mother desperately needs life-saving medicine that the city just won't send. With no other options, the two journey outside the wall to study the monsters beyond, selling the information they find to the city in exchange for their support. While dangerous, they manage the task fine until one journey out they stumble across a disturbing, gruesome revelation that reveals not only more about the city, but the end of the world as a whole. As the duo begin to pull on the thread and tangle themselves slowly into its snare, they begin to realize there's a lot more to this apocalypse than they ever could have imagined, and that the horrific beasts they've been studying might be the least of their concerns...
