Natsu is scared and alone. The brave act he puts on is nothing more than a show to fool those around him. He paints on his smile so the world won't see what he's hiding underneath. He must appear to be strong and happy. He must pretend to have strength if he wishes to carry on. He just wishes he didn't have to struggle alone. To just have on person by his side who believes in him.
