Have you ever thought about those fairy tale stories that you grew up reading and thought, "is this how it really was like?" 
Well, if you did, here's the answer to that question: 
No. Not even close. 
Those stories are so unbelievably wrong that it's not even funny. We aren't some scared little princesses who run away from danger. We aren't some little innocent girls that everybody loves so much that they will do anything for. We don't get swept off our feet by some Prince and marry them right after we meet them. 
No. We are not like that.

Throughout the book, the main character tries to discover what it means to be alive as a 'lower being' in a new world. Originally, she believes herself to be human until an accident occurs, and she finds herself to be woken up in the middle of what she thought to be some sort of cosplay festival. Oddly enough, these strange creatures weren't human, which she quickly realized after being attacked and nearly killed. Now she's got to learn how to survive in this new, scary environment where everyone's out for her demise. I've learned a lot of the parts in this book relate to real-life events, places in the present, and the past. You'll see a lot of connections between actual human historical events and the goings on in this book. The main character is, above all, head strong and bold. She's unafraid of the social normal and any punishments that come when defying them. ----- My original caption for the story: I had a dream, and it was kinda awesome and slightly romantic. I'll try my best to write down what I remember.

Gothel was being hunted by Hansel and Gretel at the time I met all three of them. Merida was adopted by Maethranal and trained as an Elven archer. Blue and Banshee are related by blood. Peter and Killian were enemies, but then banded together to stop Rumpelstiltskin, who later agreed to work with me. I love them like family, especially since my seven friends were killed. I miss them so much. They were my first friends, and helped me start this... rebel group. My husband contributed just as much as they did, and had the same fate. Eight people dead in one tiny little raid. I killed my stepmother, and use her riches to buy weapons for us all. We now hide in an abandoned castle in the middle of the dark forest, called 'The Red Tower', and is shrouded in fog and mist. Nobody would dare to look for us here because of all the dark creatures that guard the areas around. Red tames them all and converts them to our cause. 'Who am I?' you ask?
