I wrote this for EVERYONE. To appeal to anyone that reads ANY genre. It combines almost all of them. It's an introduction to the Worlds of Within universe. When you get to the action parts (which doesn't take long) you should be invested enough to want to unravel the mysteries and enjoy its intrigue... The flood is raging. A terrifying, heartless mountain of water, swallowing the world . The tunnel networks? Of course, that won't save them. The forests? Like leaves in a breeze. The lookout towers and trade hubs? Gone. During the final decades of the twenty first century, a rogue brown dwarf star passed through the solar system and its gravity threw the Earth out of orbit around the sun. Two hundred years later, when the atmosphere has finished freezing onto the surface, explorers from the last refuge of humanity venture out to see what's become of their world. Things looks bleak. Mankind faces a future of huddling in whatever warm refuges it can make for itself until the Earth's core goes cold, but then a discovery is made. An opportunity exists for mankind to leave the planet and find its destiny among the stars, but to do so requires an all or nothing gamble and losing would mean the end of the human race. My world is divided into Four Seasons each supporting a different race. Given the differences between our peoples, no race can survive outside their normal domain for long. The Golden man I saw in the library had stolen the relic. But why? Why is it so important that the man risked his life to take it? I saw the thief, I witnessed the theft, so I'm involved in this.
