The Keeper, a Time Lady from a parallel universe, has been stuck in the Doctor's universe for three hundred years. She adopted the name Alexis and adapted to human life, which can be hard at times. For three hundred years she has moved around, leaving friends and lovers, always forgetting that one rule she made 'Don't get attached.' Then one day, her 'normal' world in turned upside down when Cybermen attacked her peaceful little town and who should appear none other than the Doctor? The Keeper is almost the complete opposite of the Doctor, having only very few things in common. So what happens when the Time Lady far from home and the lonely Time Lord who's eyes were heavy from the weight he had seen meet?

The Doctor, in his 10th incarnation, meets another traveller again. He and Kate seem to complete each other perfectly. But he doesn't know how perfectly until he discovers something about her that will change his life forever. I do generally follow the lines of BBC Doctor Who, but might add or change some details.
