Opposite Realities // Bucky Barnes

Melody Wurthing, is a sophomore in high school living in New York when her dreams of landing a soccer scholarship are ruined, because an attack on her high school causes her to break her leg and leaves her in a place in life where she must learn the heart break of growing up and understanding who she is.

Bucky Barnes is a recovering international assassin who has just found his way back to his best friend, Steve Rogers, and feels the guilt after an attack from Hydra, meant for him, on a high school harms innocent people and he attaches himself to teenage Melody.

The two find similarities in each other and find recovery, even when at different points in their lives, while battling their own demons, metaphorically and literally when Hydra continues attacking the Avengers for Bucky, and ultimately ends up hurting Melody the most.
