Short thing I wrote a while back. It makes more sense if you have played oot and mm, and have vague knowledge of the Hero's Shade. I haven't played tp though, so it should make sense if you haven't. It's kind of a theory thing of what logically would have happened to him between mm and tp. It's also pretty depressing. It's sorta zelink but also rly not, and it's sorta malonlink but also kinda not either. 
If it's too depressing, I'm going to write a happy post-oot thing at some point too, so don't worry!

While Link and Zelda try to save themselves from the abuse, an evil prince from another country declares war on Hyrule in hopes of annexing the kingdom, and Link must go to war, leaving Zelda. When Zelda is forced to marry a tyrant that would bring her country to ruin, she lashes out at her new husband. The new King plots against her so he can have the kingdom and the Triforce for himself but Zelda has many friends in Hyrule. She must leave Hyrule Castle, her home, with no one but a knight at her side. She leaves with a promise, a promise to return some day, an army at her side and retake her kingdom, liberating her subjects from the King's tyranny. This is a Zelink story but I doubt it will be as good as my first Zelink story, 'A Princess Problem' but let's give it a try.
