"Growing up you need to be strong, you need to be popular, you need a lot of friends, the RIGHT friends"... This is what we are told when we are growing up.

The truth is you can be invisible. You can be weak. You can be one of the few without a voice, you can be whatever you want growing up... But is that really what you want? Is that really what will get you through those tough years?

Those are questions that need to be answered by you, only you, and no one else. It is your life and that life is yours to navigate. But if you want a piece of advice... Don't do it alone, because you really are never alone.

So as I sit in this circle of fuck ups, I realize just how different I am from them. I didn't attempt suicide because my mother was a crack addict who didn't want me. My father wasn't abusive. I didn't have a sibling die in a car accident. I was never really bullied either. I attempted suicide because, for the first time in years, I thought I had found something that could make me feel again... and after not feeling much at all for far too long, perhaps I went a bit overboard
