The biting wind carried a stinging dust that attacked the child. His mother tucked him in as closely as she could to keep him from making a sound.
	Their survival depended on it.
Unfortunately, her ragged, gossamer shawl did not nothing against the raging wind and dust. The baby cried out.
"Over here!" the man said with a plasma pistol and a squad of men following behind him.
The mother couldn't run any faster her baby was not a burden to her but the weather was. Her tears and breath would dissipate in furious air and her thoughts wouldn't be able to catch up with her if they did catch her.
One of the men flanked her and ended up in front of her and grabbed her by the arm. She shrugged her shawl off her shoulder, covering his face. Then, she rammed her knee into his stomach, doubling him over and making him lose her grip on her. He reached blindly for her again and by luck, grabbed hold of her arm. She shrugged him off and judo kicked his covered face into the wall. He crumpled into the sand.

18+ (Alien Love) Smut. Violence. Gore. Foul Language. The year is 3787, the Earth is in ruin, and the infectious spores plagues the world below. After many failed attempts to remove the spore infection and the intelligent lifeforms that brought it known as the Irinaut, several large ships were sent into space to save the human race, but some people remained. Those who stayed, either had no choice in the matter or were part of the expedition crews. The people who were looking for some sort of cure all. Some, scientists looking to communicate or even experiment on the Irinaut race. Though it wasn't only the infection they had to worry about. Infected Irinaut were aggressive, and finding one without the sickness at this point was seeming out of reach with no hopes of communicating. That is, until now. A group of soldiers had been left with a task of transporting precious cargo. After several facilities being attacked by the estranged Irinaut, a young soldier known as Raven, finds herself curious to why this Irinaut is so important in finding. The being wasn't like other's any of them had seen. They wanted to know how it was possible in the world that was nothing but desert, and infection. 0-Sa was also alone, which was unusual for the species. The Irinaut became valuable quite quickly, having found no spore infection visibly on him. The team had one job, obtain and return the creature alive, but they would soon come to find out that the cargo would be more difficult to transport than they thought. It was a Sunday night, family night for the Greens. They were playing a board game when it happened. At exactly 11:11 pm; a time for wishes, a sixteen year old girl wished for true love one day. At that exact moment her window smashed and something flew into her room. It was a flock of them; they attracted the house and only took one thing: the girl. She remembers it clearly, the way she screamed scared out of her mind. The way it grabbed her waist and took off. She remembers screaming for help but no one came to her rescue. Oh how she wishes that she left her safety knife in her room. Then they would be safe. Her family! She just hopes they were fine, but the conclusion that she was taken says that her family would be back to normal soon. She sighs and thinks over her life. From a little kid she was always the loner. But her family loved her to death. It all changed when she turned ten. The world was changing. She remembers the exact day at the exact time. Her birthday; she calls it the hell day. Something bad always happens on her birthday and that year was the worst so far. On February 20/2020 at exactly 2:20 On the news they had let out the horrible announcement. Scientist's experiments had gone wrong. They call them the "Stone Devils". They were escaping from the labs and into our world. Made of stone and all male. Winged creatures that come into the night. Steal and kill their prey. That's what she heard but she didn't believe it until a few nights ago. (kinda like the movie Warm Bodies)

"You could have been alive if you just didn't rebel against everyone. You just had to be different than your colleagues. Why did you fight them alone? You deserve this." Her face that was previously full of contempt for herself shifted to a grin. "I fought for the good of others, so I'll live happy. I feel so...so warm now." A sudden gust of wind made the snow almost completely cover the woman's body. Stephanie Jefferson's life had seemingly taken shape. She had a career she loved as a high school English teacher, was living on her own in a new apartment, and was starting to look for love. Despite her good fortune, one morning changed everything. What she thought was a cold turned out to be a terminal illness. Dealing with the cards life had dealt her, she struggled to accept what she could not change. As her body withered away, she found one last hope for a future - to have her body cryogenized. After fifty years, cryogenics had lost popularity as a viable option to overcome death. Those who could no longer afford to keep their bodies cryogenized were secretly subject to experimentation. The acts of one company in particular became highly suspicious. A team of detectives were hired to find out what exactly the Advance Human Cyro-Institute was hiding. Were they telling the truth about being able to awaken those who were cryogenized? At what cost? Most importantly, where did Stephanie Jefferson fit into all of this?

A retired pilot had thought she'd seen it all, until she's asked to become part of the first crew for a spaceship destined to land on a new planet. ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ Genevieve Autumn considered herself retired. She had served her time in the Air Force as a pilot, and in the Army as an officer. At least, she considered herself retired until she found herself on board the Patriot I, one of the first two spaceships to ever leave Earth. The Patriot I is a smaller, weaponized ship with a tough crew to escort the Pioneer, a ship full of humans meant to colonize the far-away planet Z-031. The main issue is that Z-031 is thousands of years away. Even with Earth's advanced technology, it will take three hundred years to arrive. The Pioneer is a Generational Ship, meant to survive in flight for so long. The Patriot is not. The crew will have to be cryogenically-frozen within the ship, asleep in flight for three centuries. As soon as Genevieve opens her eyes after centuries of being asleep, everything goes wrong. The crew remains asleep. The ship doesn't have enough power to sustain them. Her mind is turning against her with the side-effects of the cryogenic-freezing sleep. Lastly, there are enemies lurking just outside the hull of her ship. Genevieve is losing track of what is happening, but what she knows for sure is that none of it is what she signed up for. Author's note: I can't believe I need to specify this, but this story has no affiliation with politics. --Currently undergoing editing! It needs major work, so you've been warned.--

The years came and went. Earth is no longer the only planet out there, and adventures are only just beginning for Aurora's crew. Bessie Marvin didn't think she would be selected to join the Aurora. After all, as a freshly graduated agriculture bioengineer, she lacks the experience most of those in her position hold. So, why would a government send someone like her out to the great unknown? The answer comes sooner then she thinks when their ship crash lands at their destination, a water exoplanet with little land in sight. Orion has always wondered if there was more beyond the glowing lights of his world. This idea pulls him away from his tiny reef and the ocean's comfortable currents, creating a fissure between him and his family. When a strange creature crash lands onto his tiny island, Orion knows this is his chance to finally tame this growing curiosity once and for all. However, meeting Bessie Marvin and falling in love was far from his plans. With the world between the two of them collided, there's no way to go back how things once were. Now, they will have to navigate cultural differences from both space and ocean if they wish to stay together throughout the growing tension between the two sides. With time running out, Bessie and Orion will have to decided if they're willing to stand their ground or give in to the pressures of the ocean's depths. Future cover to be made by @-DeeIsDead-
