30 Days, 30 Stories: A Writing Challenge
This is a 30 day writing challenge, a collection of short stories. I've always been a world class procrastinator. The goal of this challenge is to get me writing regularly and, hopefully, break me of the perfectionist thinking that often paralyses me. The Rules: 1. Write and publish 1 short story (flash fic, vignette) per day for 30 days. 2. Stories must be at least 100 words. 3. They can be of any genre or subject matter. Like a lot of writers I have notebooks lying around full of random story ideas. Most of my older ideas are for novels and screenplays. Been going thru my old ideas and picking out the ones I think lend themselves to the short story format. I'm also working on coming up with NEW ideas that I can use here. Never been good at using prompts, but this is a good opportunity to experiment with those. All the stories here are original works written specifically for this challenge. Since he can't remember his name, he gives himself one - Gradient. His new friend gives him a warm welcome to his eternal resting place, and he gladly accepts. Four tweens. October month and a harmless field trip to a pumpkin patch. It was supposed to be harmless right?.. Not as if we going to be hunted and slaughtered like lambs. Then why I ask..I'm currently getting chased by a overgrown pumpkin who wants rip me in half?? Perl fascinated by all things supernatural is in a surprise when one of her teammates accidentally picks up a cursed object that will prove to shake up their world completely. Niko never wanted to be apart of the group and the feelings would be soon returned if his group knew of the cursed glowing object he casually picked up and decided to keep. Because of this little slip up him and the cursed group he would soon have to learn to work with have to survive the month of October. Jasmine and James always been together. Through whatever problems given they twins it only natural. Jasmine have a freaky talent that when one night things escalate she is the only one with memories of it. Why is that so? Why are the kids cursed and will their new found friendships be enough to deal with whatever challenges they will face? One can only hope.Kumpleto

The Things You Will Never Know
If you go down to the woods today... Well, in this town, you probably won't come back. Unexplained deaths and disappearances are normal around here. In Haltonshaw Grove, we tell these real life horror stories to our kids like bedtime tales. They help us learn from a young age to stay out of the forest after dark. But one halloween, we didn't listen- Me and four boys. We broke the rules and we paid the price. We barely made it out alive and now we live with the trauma, the nightmares, the memories. Seven years later, the events of that night, like most things tend to do around here, have come back to haunt us. We never talked about the night we ran in the forest, never spoke afterwards at all really, but now we're going to need each other if we're going to survive what's coming. Me and those boys I've loved all along. - - ‐ - - - - - - - - - - - - - Our town is haunted. The five of us are cursed. And Halloween is just around the corner... Let's see who makes it to November 1st.
