Sixteen year old Riley Harrison has an awful life. Her father constantly beats her as frequently as possible and her mother died when she was four. She has no friends and is always coming up with excuses of why she has bruises or cuts on her body. That's until Chase Zimmerman came along. Chase moved from North Carolina to California because of his dad's job. He attends Springton High and becomes one of the most popular guys there. He constantly disregards Riley and makes fun of her, that is, until he learns what is going on at her home. He immediatly feels bad for her and tries to make up for it. He learns about her past and eventually falls in love with her. Will Riley be forgiving and let him into her heart, or will she push him away? Read to find out!
