This is a blog written in Steven Easton's point-of-view.  Steven's aunt, Jen offered him a teaching job up in Iowa because she is the principal, and he was a teacher down in Alabama for about five years. Steven is learning how to adapt to the Iowan way of life, which is quite unique. His sister took someone's life when she robbed a bank, causing her to be in prison for life. Ava knows her mom robbed a bank, but doesn't know that her mom killed someone. Therefore he is raising his nine-year-old niece, Ava. He is only 27, himself.

Over the summer, Steven reunited with his father for the first time since he was a baby, which has resulted in some healing, but a lot of heartache because there are still a lot of unresolved issues. Steven's sister or Ava's Mom, Stacey, robbed a bank and killed someone about five years ago, and Steven hasn't had contact with her since. He knows that he needs to closure with her, which means he needs to contact her. For five months now, Steven has been blogging daily about his daily life, and this month is the last month he will be writing. If you've never read his entries before, it's okay because it's pretty easy to catch on.

After she heals from the abuse, She forgave him for not doing anything when she was being abused by her foster parents because he was scared her foster parents would do the same thing to him so he stayed quiet to stay out of being abused and having to deal with the pain and suffering. She talks with her brother and forms a strong bond with him. She goes back home to Mississippi with her kids and her husband and she goes back to work for preparation at work before she goes back after a whole week off of work. In advance, the first two chapters are trigger warning related just in case it causes anyone else triggers. Also minimal sex doing with the wife and husband that are married and have had the Kids. Marj and Aut are a part of this, They are characters from The Nursery Nurse, They both have an important role. They help Nessette heal from the past and get her justice.
