InGen had to react before politicians began to investigate further. A story was fabricated stating the Costa Rican government fire bombed Isla Nublar, they pulled some strings to get the islands restricted, and managed to quell the outrage. Life returned to normal. People avoided the islands, afraid of what monsters lurked upon their shores, but it was only a matter of time before powerful individuals began to see the island as a potential gold mine. The BioSyn corporation recognizes that a lot of InGen data is probably still left on those island and one man has a plan... but he'll need someone who knows dinosaurs... someone like Doctor Alan Grant.
