King Asgore's life is in shambles after the departure of his wife, Toriel, and the death of his children, Chara and Asriel. He's left depressed and crumbling under the weight of his responsibilities as king. But years pass, and things are alright. His trusted friend and Royal Scientist, W.D. Gaster, helps him every step of the way, but the skeletal scientist - father of two young skeletons living in Snowdin and the most brilliant mind in the Underground - secretly shares much stronger feelings than just friendship for his noble King.

Remembrance - An Undertale Story-DISCONTNUED
Long ago, two races ruled over the Earth. Humans and monsters. At least, that's the story we all know. There was another race. Technically, they were monsters. Skeleton monsters to be exact. Humans shunned them because they were monsters. Monsters shunned them because humans had skeletons. In retaliation, the skeletons split into two different races. The Surface Skeletons and the Abyss Skeletons. The Surface Skeletons reaches out to both monsters and humans. However, when the war started, they were some of the first monsters attacked and many were killed when they fought with the other monsters. Only a handful were sealed underground but without the Sun to strengthen their bones, the skeletons suffered until they received anonymous help. Very few survived to this point and slowly, they died out. The Royal Scientist at the time and his wife tried to have children. Each time left them severely weakened. Each child dusted until the wife gave up her life to bring a great skeleton into the world. That child is the last of his kind. The Abyss Skeletons shunned all other monsters and humans, considered them all demons. Their society was alike human society long ago. Divided. They believe they are strong and emotions only weaken. The class system was rigid and they possessed a kill or be killed attitude to all other monsters and humans. They thrived underground and ended up building their society in the Underground's own Abyss. It is a shame that only their leader can reclaim their heir from the corruption caused by those demons. Warning: Rated Mature for possible smut and probable gore. I'm sorry I don't know what I'm doing but this ain't for little kids. Also, cover doesn't belong to me. Credit to creator. A long KingDings fic because this ship does not get the attention I think it deserves. I love this ship, and it's adorable. I plan on making this a full story, so buckle up! Also in this Gaster is Sans and Papyrus's father because Dadster is wholesome and cute. Toriel and Asgore are decent friends in this one because I believe that they could have a friendship if they tried. I will put in little bits of my other ships, but Asgore and Gaster are the main focus. If you want the actual story, read it. It's very fluffy and cute and gay. CW OF ABUSE / CHILD ABUSE, TRAUMA, AND DARK THEMES ARE PRESENT) It's almost been a decade since the war of the humans and the monsters had ended and five years after Chara's death. Centuries of conflict have left the Underground in a state of repair and despair. But, only hope remains for the Dreemurrs to fix the problem with the barrier without killing humans, as Asgore has promised to find a way to fix this with the help of his scientists. But, how can Asgore juggle both his duties as a king and to his family? Another problem arises when a human child mysteriously falls out of nowhere with strange abilities attached to him that make him very unpredictable.
