When Isabelle Lewis gets the news that she will blind before the end of summer, all she wants is to escape. And what better place for her to go than the quiet beach town of Pawley's Island where she spent her summers as a kid? She convinces her parents that this is what she wants, what she needs. She needs to see the sights of her most fond childhood memories before it's too late. All she wants is to spend a quiet summer keeping to herself and taking in the sights. But, Isabelle has never been one for quiet or solitude. Almost against her will, she befriends Alex Lane and his sister, Serena. She reasons that these will be her summer friends. Nothing more. But, regardless of her best efforts to distance herself, she soon finds herself falling for Alex. Will he be there for her even if she doesn't want him to?
