Jordan's in love with two people (who are in love with each other), he hasn't spoken to his parents in five years, and despite working almost sixty hours a week, he's still ages away from having enough to pay for the three surgeries he needs to complete his gender confirmation. "What if I'm not one?" I asked, my body wound tight with tension. "One what?" he asked, his voice soft and low. I hesitated. Was I ready? I wanted to tell him so badly.
