Emery De Bulgaria is a young, English heiress. Having lived her entire life at King James's court, Emery is completely ready for any marriage that could be thrown at her. Until King James told her just what he had in mind for her. Emery was to marry the Count of Dubois. A savage, unkind man that was only known for the rumors about him. He had never taken a wife, and Emery could certainly see why. Glum, and groomed Emery goes uncertainly to her dismal fate. Kane Dubois was pleased with the rumors that swirled about him in the courts. Darkly mysterious, no one truly knew who Kane was. He was unkind, and savage, but life had proven unkind, and savage was the way to survive. At least, that's how he thought until he met the raven haired, golden skinned, beauty destined to be his wife. Angry, and aroused Kane goes with uncertainly to his not so dismal future.

The world was never fair, but wealth had its way of tilting the scales. James heir to a global empire, knew this better than anyone. From the outside, his life was a perfect mosaic of power, luxury, and control. But behind the towering glass walls of his empire, he was a man shackled by obligations. His family's legacy was at stake, and their solution? An arranged marriage. Elizabeth never imagined her life would take such a sharp turn. She was content with her quiet dreams and ordinary struggles-until a deal brokered by their families brought her face-to-face with a man who epitomized everything she resented about the rich. She didn't belong in his world, and he didn't care to understand hers. The marriage was a contract, a business transaction. No love, no emotions-just terms and conditions binding two strangers. But what neither of them anticipated was the undeniable pull of their shared loneliness, the sparks ignited by their clashes, and the fragile moments that began to unravel the walls they had both so carefully built. Two lives, two worlds, and one marriage. Could something so carefully orchestrated ever lead to something real?
