Emery De Bulgaria is a young, English heiress. Having lived her entire life at King James's court, Emery is completely ready for any marriage that could be thrown at her. Until King James told her just what he had in mind for her. Emery was to marry the Count of Dubois. A savage, unkind man that was only known for the rumors about him. He had never taken a wife, and Emery could certainly see why. Glum, and groomed Emery goes uncertainly to her dismal fate. Kane Dubois was pleased with the rumors that swirled about him in the courts. Darkly mysterious, no one truly knew who Kane was. He was unkind, and savage, but life had proven unkind, and savage was the way to survive. At least, that's how he thought until he met the raven haired, golden skinned, beauty destined to be his wife. Angry, and aroused Kane goes with uncertainly to his not so dismal future.

"How could you?" Sofia looked at her husband Hector. "You are overreacting. It's just above you." "I am telling you that a man was... inappropriate to me...he said he wanted to..." Sofia's voice was shaking. "We are all adults here. He has taken a liking to you. Consider yourself lucky. You have no idea where this man can get us. To where this connection can get us..." "I am your wife." Sofia scoffed. "And, I am consenting to this." Hector cut her off. "Hector, don't!" Sofia tried to shut him up, but Hector continued. "It doesn't change anything. Make him happy. He won't be wanting it all the time. He had hundreds of women for him. This will all be over in a month or two. But you can be good friends in the future, and he can be kind to you. And, us! Think where his connections can get us." At first, if Antonio's behavior in the past seemed a problem, now adding her husband's ideas about all this worried Sofia more. It seems the very man she expected to protect her from a predator was ready to throw her to that animal. Sofia recalled how Antonio had always tried to be a gentleman. But there was nothing gentle about his intentions. Only his eyes and direct approach with his words were enough to tell Sofia about it. She could still recall the day when he had told her. "You will warm my bed one day. And, your husband will drive you here that day." At that time, she slapped him, but now it seems he had won. Sofia gulped, looking at Hector. Her Hector couldn't be this blind. It wasn't that simple. She could tell that Antonio had spent a great deal of time brainwashing her husband. Sofia rubbed her cheeks and told her husband off while walking away. "This isn't happening. Not today. Not ever." Sofia accepts a gift card from her neighbor for a spa day. The most mundane day gets her in the way of an obsessive trillionaire, who has only one agenda. If you can't have it, ruin it.

Destined to inherit the crown of England, Prince Francis Bennet, soon to be king, and bound to an arranged marriage, was not a man one could ever afford to displease. Young, clever, and fiercely determined, twenty-one-year-old Francis was arrogant, commanding, and put simply; disrespectful. He would never relent until he obtained what he desired. But what if love dared to defy law and duty? What if the struggle to be together tested them to the brink of ruin.. or death? This is a tale of passion and peril, of forbidden love tested by betrayal, loss, and the relentless cruelty of circumstance. One between King Francis and Sofia May, his servant, and yet perhaps something far more. ••• He was the only one who ever called me May. No one had ever called me just May. "May," he said. "It's Sofia," I spat, sharp as a whip. He chuckled softly. "I find it amusing that you think I care," he said. "I may call you what I please. And so, you shall be May. Just May. Understood?" He smirked, green eyes glinting with cruel amusement. I loathed him. God, who did he think he was? "Of course, my lord. If that pleases you." I forced a smile, hiding the fire I felt rising within me. ••• "I cannot have you, Sofia May. I am wrong for you," he confessed, his voice low, restrained, yet trembling just enough that I knew the truth lay beneath. "No. No, you are just right for me," I whispered. "I believe that. Don't you?" "I... I do," he admitted, each word a struggle, his eyes betraying the turmoil he refused to name. {Mature

His family's legacy was at stake, and their solution? An arranged marriage. Elizabeth never imagined her life would take such a sharp turn. She was content with her quiet dreams and ordinary struggles-until a deal brokered by their families brought her face-to-face with a man who epitomized everything she resented about the rich. She didn't belong in his world, and he didn't care to understand hers. The marriage was a contract, a business transaction. No love, no emotions-just terms and conditions binding two strangers. Two lives, two worlds, and one marriage. Could something so carefully orchestrated ever lead to something real?
