Nate was after having another break up with his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Dana. Following an extensive world tour with Connect 3, he needed some time away from the spotlight to re-evaluate his priorities.
Caitlyn was humiliated and hurt from the betrayal of her long-term boyfriend Ben. After injuring her ankle, it leaves her with little job prospects she is forced to seriously reconsider where her life is going.
