Abdule (Cinnamon) is a 7 year old bay gelding. Today, he is the soul horse of Jenavive (Juni) Dragonbrooke, and is also one of the most well known horses on the island of Jorvik, because of his numerous victories in different Championships around the island. But, where did he come from? What's his story? Abdule is about to tell you everything about his life, up to this point. Hold on for the ride!

Yay, I'm back! I've always wanted to make a story based on one of my SSO horses, and what better horse to write about than the one who I started my adventure on Jorvik with! I've had tons of fun coming up with Abdule's story! There are a few parts that may tug at your heartstrings a bit (seriously, I was crying while coming up with those parts trust me), so just a fair warning there xD. But, anyways, I hope you enjoy getting to know a bit more about my horsey, Cinnamonfire!

In JOS I set the rogue and con-artist Harric against a foil of warriors in a land threatened by magic and civil war. Whenever possible I turn familiar tropes on their heads: instead of a handsome young Lancelot, I cast a broken-down ex-champion addicted to pain-killing herbs; instead of a dashing Squire Brian, the old knight reluctantly takes an ambitious young woman as squire. Similarly, I re-imagine the standard medieval milieu by infusing aspects of two of my favorite historical periods, Elizabethan England, and The American Frontier. Both eras boast a kind of nationalistic arrogance that borders on hubris, and a magnificent spirit of resourcefulness and re-invention that is fun to play with.
