This world is set in the past. In a time where nothing was impossible, Where dragons fly above our heads. We learned to ride them, and become friends with them. We created artifacts that make our dragos small and then big again when we need them. That's what sets our world into two sides. A side where dragon riders lived and flew on them. And a side where they hated dragons, and the one that rode them. Even though we managed to work in peace, there was no war between us. Only fights that were under control and rules. In the Arena in the city called Aeloria. A city where there were both sides. They mostly ignored each other. But it was hard to get in this city. Mostly it was the people that lived there. And a few outsiders, but that was either the sellers, chosen group of warriors or dragon riders, and lastly the best fighters of the academies that went into the arena. To prove who is stronger and the winner will receive high quality weapons or any other things of their choice. One day the darkness came and war started. Not between us, but with a kingdom that was across the sea. And this battle or war changed everything we knew. I'm Ardyn, I'm on the side where we ride on dragons. And this story can be easy but also hard to understand. But I will still share it. But first we have to start from the beginning. What will this story bring? Will we be able to see the outcome? Let's wait and see. --------------------------------------------- "Get on!" Leora screams at Ardyn. Extending her hand for her to take. "No, I'm not getting there I hate ships." I shook my head and took a step back. Leora sighed and shook her head in mocked amusement. "Are you telling me you are able to fly on a dragon. But you are scared of standing on a ship. Don't make me laugh." "Yes. So what, I'm not getting on." I said angry and she grabbed my hand and pulled me up. King of the North Aeron Rosenthal demands to marry Arven's only princess Aelia Windsor. Pushed to a corner by the only dragon rider left on the planet, the king of Arven agrees. But at the wedding Aeron's true intentions are shown... ________ Reader discretion advised. If you cannot stomach stories that are brutal, unfair, deal with a lot of trauma and angst, I advise you to not even bother clicking on the first chapter. There is enough dark romance/bad boy meets nice girl/ medieval fantasy books here that will be more up your alley. This is very niche and a story that tackles topics that I personally like to engage with, regarding trauma and healing. If you are interested in more complex topics and you do enjoy reading about the human psyche, with a more mature tone, fitting it's time, then I am really happy to take you with me through the story. But for everyone else I am sorry if you started this book with different expectations just to be hit with mature themes and I would really ask for you to not comment how disappointed you are in the direction I take the story bc this is really a story I intended to tell even if it's not for you personally. My english isn't perfect, and I apologize for phrasing things in a very clumsy way sometimes and I appreciate any help to better my writing and criticism regarding my writing. Honestly I really want to tell a story in the most captivating way and every reader is much needed feedback.

Torin has always felt out of place in his small village. Despite the familiarity of his surroundings, he cannot shake the feeling that he doesn't belong. He longs for a place where he can truly be himself, away from the expectations of his people, a life free of the stifling weight of conformity. His dreams are filled with a sense of belonging, a vision of a life where he is accepted for who he is, not for who others expect him to be. One fateful day, while attending the annual Dragon Safe Arena, where dragons are brought to be killed for sport and fear, something extraordinary happens. A black dragon, larger and more majestic than any Torin has ever seen, enters the arena. The crowd erupts in excitement, but Torin feels an unexpected connection. The dragon's eyes lock onto his, and in that moment, he hears a voice-not in his ears, but in his mind. The dragon speaks to him, its words clear, yet impossible: "I see you, young one. You do not belong here." In a shock of realization, Torin understands the dragon's plea. No one else can hear it, no one else can understand the words-but Torin can. At that moment, everything changes. He chooses to defy the world he's always known, running away with the dragon, escaping the village that never understood him. As they journey together, seeking refuge in the wilds, they encounter other teens-four others-each of whom carries their own special gift. They, too, are misfits. One has the power to control the wind, another can manipulate shadows, a third can speak to animals, and the last can heal with a touch. The group of them, united by their unique abilities, form an unlikely family.

"You will seek death but you will not find it. You will long to lose consciousness but ever present you shall stay. Finally alone you will shrivel up and die without your own kind in all your magnificent splendor, and only after everyone you love is dead. By then, it will no longer matter, for when you finally have your light you will depart from it faster than fire from a raging wind. But perhaps you would have comfort yet little one. Death is a sweet thing in a world like this." Cursed by a Wishing Dragon when she was only a dragonet, Stygian sets off in search of a cure, leaving behind everyone she knows and loves. On her journey for help she meets more enemies than friends, with a little red fox as her only companion. At last she finds Turbulence; God of Confusion; the only one who can save her, or so he or she claims. *** Fyran, the Librarian's Apprentice is on the hunt for Leviathan; a legendary beast long foretold by prophecy, a prophecy she had disregarded as an old fable. Yet, ever since her father stumbled into their broken down house one dark night covered in blood and deliriously talking about a dragon with iron teeth, Fyran is no longer so sure. After her father dies and renders them all penniless, Fyran goes in search of this creature to take revenge-and the huge bounty on its head issued by the King of Sufta. Perhaps she will be successful and they'll no longer have to grovel as the poorest of the poor, and at the very least she'll acquire justice for the murder of her father, the only father she's ever had. But there is an old and forgotten prophecy as old as time fast approaching on the horizon. Nobody can stop it, fate is a force that can't be reckoned with, and everything that ever has and will ever happen to every citizen has already been foretold in their scrolls. The fate of Sufta is uncertain, and powerful forces are at play, but who has enough discernment to understand a long forgotten prophecy that's been dismissed by generations?

The dragons have come and gone since the Pliocene epoch when Wooly Mammoths roamed with humans during the ice age. For many of the I and E generation in the Americas and parts of Europe, it was something to avoid being taken by them to their world. But many knew the stories they told, the things they saw and missed, and in this world of social media, the child coming home, reborn as a shifter. For 16-year-old Nathan that was his reality. For 11 years he's not only avoided getting grabbed but helped others avoid a similar fate. But a black dragon was watching him grabbing him only to lay low in the nearby woods, something they did to pick out who'd they take. It did that for 10 years, more than 3 times longer than usual. His actions and the amount of time he had avoided them made him a sort of celebrity in his town in the midwest. But one day that black dragon made its decision, he was to be her hatchling. When they're usually marked the child could turn to protective mode, running from home to prevent drawing attention to other children for the picking, and that's what he did, right to where they last landed. Luck, choice, a possible spell in those claws, whatever you may think doesn't matter. A black dragon never misses its mark. With agility unsurpassed by the other types they're almost impossible to avoid. But these dragons didn't breathe fire, were a threat, nor in any way the size of a 747 max. All they had that was unique from other creatures was a highly evolved brain with the intelligence of a human and a heart of platinum. Note. Some creatures don't belong to me in any way. Infested: creators of Warframe (whatever the company is called) Symbiotes: Disney (since I'm pretty sure they bought Marvel) Xenomorphs: Universal Studios.

For one, her emotions were out of control. She never got a peace of mind being left alone with herself. She was either blaming herself for actions, or she was traumatized at night by memories on this... place. The same place she felt more comfortable coming back to. Why did she come back? Why was the Isle her safe place? The same place she was punished on consistently for breathing incorrectly if her mother viewed it as so. But even still... it was her pain and her happiness. She felt more trapped and boxed on in Auradon than on the Isle. Was this a bad thing? Did she cause herself to feel that way? Was it Ben? Ben. The thought of him made her put the list against her chest. She felt terrible for leaving him.. but they were in a tough place. He wasn't listening; he wasn't hearing. She was impatient; her expectations.. could they be considered high? Should she focus more on working on her relationship than herself? No, in order to fix the relationship she'd have to fix herself. But she's a part of the relationship... Barely being here fifteen minutes and already struggling within her emotions, Mal began growing an headaches. The headache told her it was time to rest someplace quiet, to ride out the storm within her brain, for in time pain does ebb. "Working on myself hurts..." the purple head muttered in defeat, sighing a bit afterwards. A smirk spread across her face as her eyes landed on an rock had a forget-me-not hue. It was time to go home. ‎〰・❦・〰
