Escaping from the psychopathic world that surrounds me is my specialty. I guess you could call me a professional escape artist, just not in the conventional way. The typical tools of an escape artist aren’t held in my possession. I don’t own a lock picker nor anything remotely dangerous. My weapon of choice is my headphones; sometimes I think they’re the only thing that keeps me sane. As soon as something is thrown at me that I deem as needed of neutralization, the earbuds are stuffed into my ear canals and the sunglasses are thrown on my face. Most of the time the sunglasses are used to cover my closed eyes, blocking out the images I don’t want to see. Selecting the things I notice is not only my specialty, it’s the thing that keeps the world somewhat acceptable.

I squeezed my way through the abundant number of people, trying to get to the exit. I bumped into a lot of shoulders, until I found an opening. As soon as the door was in my sight, I heard Jessie calling out my name. Her voice grabbed my attention, and I briskly turned around. I knocked right into a tall figure, causing me to lose my balance and fall. All the people dancing blocked my vision so I couldn't grab onto anything to prevent myself from falling.
