Raine Zero a orphaned girl that lives in a house in the Forest of Gears just took the test that will determine her job as an adult. When she finds out she's going to become a spy for the army that protects them from the mutant creators clutches, the monorail to the base is attacked. As soon as a enemy soldier dies it comes back as a extremely intelligent zombie that absorbs the life force of everything near it. How is Raine going to survive this when one of her friends betrays her? What will she do once she's sent out past enemy lines? Read to find out what happens in Gears and Zombies!

When Evita starts asking questions Evelyn Sheer, the head of the city's Department of Energy, takes her captive and places her in a secret, underground research facility. Evelyn Sheer and the researchers are trying to create a genetic modification that enables humans to photosynthesize. Once in the facility, Evita is tagged as a test subject and loses all say over what happens to her body. She has to escape. By the time she comes up with a plan there is only one problem.
