The little girl didn't know why the man had come to her home. She sat in her bedroom, watching in interest as her toys hovered before her eyes at the twitch of her fingers. She just knew the man was kind.
Curious, she clambered to her feet, and tiptoed to the living room. Her icy blue eyes peered around the door frame as the robed man spoke with her mother and father. He paused for a moment, turning his head slightly in Jydon's direction.
The girl gasped and ducked out of sight, the man smiling lightly.

"If you let me, I can take her to the temple, where she can grow and learn in the ways of the force, she could become something great."

The idea of losing their daughter terrified Myra and Vand, but the idea of holding her back terrified them even more, it was something they could never truly do, so they let her go.

	That's how her story begins.

Since Qui-Gon's death, Anakin had become the anchor in Obi-Wan's life. It was Anakin who gave him purpose. There was no greater pride than seeing him surpass the other Padawans, watching him grow into the prodigy everyone had expected him to be. Obi-Wan had even allowed himself a rare indulgence-gloating about his apprentice's achievements, silently basking in the knowledge that he had helped shape the Jedi who would one day be the Order's greatest. But with that pride came an overwhelming guilt. Obi-Wan had never been able to reconcile it fully, but his attachment to Anakin-his love for him-was plain as day to anyone who knew them. The way he lit up when Anakin was in the room, the way he defended his Padawan even when the Council was less than forgiving. That connection had deepened over time, morphing from the playful, nurturing affection of a master for his apprentice into something more guarded. He had become stricter with Anakin as the years passed, holding back the casual warmth he once offered so easily, because he knew that his love for Anakin was becoming too personal, too dangerous. Attachments led to fear, and fear led... well, Obi-Wan knew where that path led. He couldn't afford to let his feelings slip into attachment, even though everyone in the Temple could see it. The truth was, Anakin was his favorite. He had always been. And that scared Obi-Wan more than any battle, more than any Sith Lord. But did Anakin know that? Did Anakin realize how much he meant to Obi-Wan? Or had he misinterpreted Obi-Wan's stricter behavior as a lack of affection? The thought gnawed at Obi-Wan. He remembered sitting by Anakin's bedside, wondering if he had ever told Anakin how proud he was, how much he truly cared for him. But when Anakin had finally woken from that coma, everything had changed.

The Clone Wars raged across the galaxy bringing terror and destruction. Anakin Skywalker is an arrogant, stubborn, Jedi. Addison Avery is his feisty, just as argumentative counterpart. Both recovering from tainted pasts, pairing up the worst Jedi Knight with the best Knight seems like the worst decision ever right? Well, you're right. It was. Greek Tragedy ~ a play in which the protagonist, usually a person of importance and outstanding personal qualities, falls to disaster through the combination of a personal failing and circumstances with which he or she cannot deal ~ Anakin's jaw clenched at the jab, but he kept his focus. "And I'm not the with a false sense of pride--charity case." The tension between Addy and Anakin was a tangible force in the monastery's dark corridor. "A charity case? That's really what you think I am?" Addy's voice was a venomous whisper, her anger barely contained. "You know nothing of my past, you arrogant fool." Anakin's chest brushed against her back, catching up to her pace. "And I'd like to know nothing of it." His words sliced through her like a saber stab. The girl whipped around, shoving her saber at his neck. It hummed, the blue glow illuminating the generals ethereal features in the dark corridor. "Just stay out of my fucking way, General Skywalker." His brows furrowed, a frown slowly forming on his lips. Their eyes locked. With a light wave of his hand, he force pushed the girl against the wall. Her saber fell, the blade disengaging on the ground. Anakin slowly walked up, his blue eyes looking like obsidian in the shadows. Standing over her, Skywalker grabbed her neck with his mechanical hand. His touch was cold despite the glove covering the robotic forearm. His grip tightened, and she let out a soft gasp. Skywalker's saber ignited, and held it directly at her throat. His breath hit the tip of her nose as she squirmed under his touch, "Do not ever, disrespect me. Commander Avery." SLOW BURN!!!!
