Grace is special. She's special because out of all the people in the skybox, she's had to spend all 17 years and 11 months and 29 days of her life in a cell, not regretting a crime or hating the people who put her there, but accepting that she deserved to be there. She's a second child and so when she was born Jaha locked her in the skybox, awaiting her 18th birthday. She was told her whole life that she was useless, worthless, and a waste of oxygen and she believed it. So when the day of her 18th birthday comes and she is forced out of her cell along with her cell mate Charlotte, she does not complain. When she was put on a drop ship, she doesn't complain. When she suddenly meets a handsome stranger who sees more to her than a prisoner number she definitely does not complain. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "What was it like in the Sky Box all those years?" The silence is broken by Bellamy's question. I look at him sadly before looking down at my hands. "Lonely. Everyday I would have at least one guard tell me what a waste of space I was. That I would be better off floated before my 18th birthday. I heard it so much that I believed them." I explain. "That's stupid. All I've ever seen you be is kind to people, even me, who is going against everything you think is right. You still see the good in me." He says. "When you stop caring about yourself long enough, other people are who you give your care to." I tell him. "You're too pure for this world Angel. I promise you, no matter what, as long as I'm around I'll protect you." With those words I fell for Bellamy Blake. All Rights Reserved
