David is absent from Camp Campbell for the week due to personal reasons, leaving Gwen as the only counselor to look after the kids. Things take a turn for the worst when something happens to Max during a rock climbing activity. I'm a new Camp Camp fan, with different opinions compared to a chunk of the fandom. Running Blind - A David x Becca fic
I picked a point in the series and started an alternate timeline where David returns Becca's affection and they fall in love. Much of the plot and some dialogue is directly from the show, and I added scenes and tweaked the plot with the goal of a more satisfying but still believable ending. AKA a retcon. LET'S GO, CHOOM! Starts near the end of canon Episode 7 - "Stronger" when the crew is having celebratory drinks. But instead of David calling it a night and going to see Ripperdoc for fine tuning, he decides to stay and cut loose with Becca and Falco. I loved this show but I also can't help but wish it went differently. Becca was best girl (and character) in my opinion and seeing David just leave in this episode when she clearly wanted him to stay bothered me. She was canonically in love with David, and stuck with him even though he didn't love her back. Right to the very end. But I think before the time skip that he actually did like her and could have loved her if the sequence of events were just slightly altered. So I wrote a headcanon for this scene. I hope you enjoy.
