It had always been just Nyx and her mother. Growing up poor in a small cottage on the hillside meant there wasn't much to do for most of her life. Eighteen years of unchanging boredom evaporated before her eyes when Nyx is suddenly thrown into the world of Fae-creatures with the bodies of humans, the wings of eagles, and elemental powers like none known to humankind. When light is shed upon the truth about her absent father, and when Nyx realizes what danger the Fae people are in, she unites with them to overthrow the evil Ice Queen and end her reign of terror. Falling for their leader was the last thing she expected. [girlxgirl] [warning: depictions of action and violence]
