He didn't say anything, just smiled. His eyes told another story. Anger, love, and pain drowning in an ocean of green. His gaze dropped to the ground, his lips parting as though searching for words.
I lifted pressed my finger to his lips.
"Goodbye Carter." I said softly.
My words were almost silent, but felt like a knife to my own heart. A slash of reality. I raised my eyes to meet his.
