What Makes The Sky Blue & My Skin Purple

Why is the sky blue? A question we've asked since we were kids that is, like many things, simply answered by science. But what is making my skin turn purple when I can breathe perfectly fine isn't a question many ask, nor is answerable by any. You could say my mental health is not well and that's true or you could say I have a bizarrely different world view from others, which, would also be true. Though one thing for certain is my love for writing, it's truly my passion and the best representation of myself. I write what I know, believe and feel, but I also write things to help connect to those who are having a hard time. I may have not experienced those feelings or situations but that's not important to me. I write about them so someone can feel seen, their feelings feel validated and maybe finally have their feelings turned into words. I do the same for everything else I write, to share my feelings and to let someone else know they're not alone in their feelings. There's a good mix of topics ranging from light hearted poems about how the color yellow makes me happy to horror themed ones to cute love story poems and ones about how ever since I developed depression it feels like all the color in my life has been drained away. My writing is mainly focused on mental health, the LGBTQ+ community (as I am nonbinary, pan and ace myself), social justice issues and bullying/abuse. Don't worry though, the first part is a list of the poems that need trigger warnings and the trigger warnings for them so please check that before reading any poem of mine as your wellbeing is top priority. This book is supposed to be a pleasant experience for you not an unpleasant one. And I truly hope you love reading these poems as much as I love writing them.

Emotional Amnesia
Sometimes when I say "I'm okay", I want someone to look me in the eyes, hug me tight and say, "I know you're not". I have felt like this many times in my life; as a kid, teenager and as an adult. I have seen many things in my life and felt even more things that has been horribly depressing... But I got up. I stood up to walk on for another day. I dealt with my emotional amnesia the only way I knew I could and that was by writing it out into poetry. I wanted to forget my pain and forget what I was going through. I needed that cut of the blade or a pill to drink to take everything away. My poetry became both my pill and my blade... Now I share the most intimate part of myself with the world. The part of me I kept hidden in the closet. The part I never thought I would ever present to the world. Now is the time I have to stop having amnesia about my emotions. It is time to learn, to better myself and to stand up and remember the things that I shut out like a voluntary amnesia all these years. Those who are offended after reading this - f**k you! A book of various tale-like long poems which are based upon my feelings, thoughts, imagination and life events. "Towards the Sky", as its name suggests, is a poem book which aims to reach the Sky with it's growing feelings and emotions which everyone can see and feel. As a poet, with all the support by my readers, i will be on my journey towards the sky to convey my feelings. A sky where there's eternal peace, a silence which you can hear like a thunder and the love within your hearts which may awaken in this book full of emotions. Life: A journey towards self love or....... self hatred
Poems are a great help to depression. My cover is not be very appealing and my title seems boring. Poems are also not liked by people very much and is considered boring. I may not get many views. But in the end "Don't judge a book by it's cover" only wins. So I have bought you some sad poems, food related ones, poems related to the things I love, Love yourself, Romantic and many more. These are written by me and please don't post it anywhere without my permission. To explain you why I have added a pink heart with black background, it is because the poems tell a story of girl(me) to whom people think she is very cold, straight forward, rude and all those things but... in reality she is too soft for this harsh world. The pink heart represents the softness she is hiding inside using her black side so no one would misuse her. The angel in her still haven't faded after getting betrayed, lost, depressed, fake people, bully and many more. She doesn't wants to go through this again. The pink background in the upper half tell that she still have hopes in her life. I want the readers to know the deep meaning behind the Title themselves and I won't reveal it until the end of the book. Keep your guesses up and think what possibly could be the meaning of this unusual title. Thank you and enjoy the journey of this little girl warning: if you are expecting this to be a story then sorry it isn't a story but a collection of poems written by the "little girl" depending on her mood that time. Drake's Kitten (completed)
He once told me no one knows the real him.I didn't think he meant it, and not in a good way. He is a straight A student, and everyone knows it, not to mention he is on the swim team. All that though isn't the real him, the real him hides deep within himself. ---------- "Can you please tell me what that was?" I nearly shout at him. All I get is silence. He keeps his back to me. "Please, I need some explanation." I beg. I stay still as he stops dead in his tracks. His body is tense and it's scarring me. He turns around slowly to face me with his hands at his sides. His eyes meet mine, but there is no spark of any emotion in them. They are cold and dark making me look away not being able to hold his deadly stare. I feel uneasy under his gaze, and i feel his eyes burning a hole in the side of my face. "No, I won't explain because it's not important." He says in a low, almost, growl. I flinch and look back into his eyes. I feel hurt by his words and I don't know why, but I know he sees it in my eyes. His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?" He questions raising an eyebrow at me. "You haven't hurt me." "Yet." He mutters, but I roll my eyes.Concluida
ASLEEP YET AWAKE
Highest ranking #96 in general fiction (The poetry in the begining is basically a kind of summary of the whole plot) Scene I: Blue sky white clouds. Cool breeze blowing your hair. An incredibly handsome guy is holding your hand and looking at you with eyes gleaming with love. Yes a PERFECT day and a PERFECT boyfriend. Scene II: you just met your perfect boyfriend. Now you feel like sharing your happiness. You call your friend who is equally happy to know about your happy day. Yes a PERFECT best friend. Isn't it what every girl needs? A Boyfriend who doesn't cheat and a girlfriend who doesn't bitch. This is my life. Scratch that. This used to be my life. Of course there is a twist in the tale and that is why my story is worth telling because it is not the ordinary but the 'ordinarily unusual' which becomes a story worth telling. ■■■ P.s thebook deals with depression and a girl's struggles to overcome it when horrible events push her deep in her dreams and she begans lucid dreaming. On the bright side it shows how life can be cruel and how to conquer the demon of sorrows. No matter how many times you get thrown off the thing, you appear right back on it? No? Just me then? See, I have this best friend. Former. Best. Friend. It's taking my brain a while to get used to it. Whatever. I'm hopelessly in love with him, and I tried desperately to admit my feelings out loud. So, I did. Raven Fox told me not to love him, and the look he seared into my skin when he said it was now branded into my brain. Now we're on the university book club Christmas retreat. Who did I get roomed with? Raven because of course I was given the bird. The damn bird that didn't love me in return. Which would have been fine had he not looked like the idea disgusted him. Six months have gone by since that day, and our tension is growing with more animosity each second. Now, we're doing activities together, and Christmas is my favorite holiday. He's not screwing this up for me. After a snowstorm starts hitting, though, I end up stuck in the middle of nowhere, out of gas in my snowmobile. I'm terrified as the wind starts picking up and snow starts whipping my face. I thought he wasn't listening. That he didn't care. So, why did he become the one to save me? "Stop, Megan!" I heard Skye call after me. I could hear the desperation that laced her voice. But I couldn't bring myself to turn back. How had I let myself get into this? How did I let myself fall in love with my best friends sister? This was all kinds of fucked up. "I said stop!" She raised her voice, pulling on my arm slightly.
