|| A collection of snippets, prose and poetry inspired by dandelions and a love untold. ||

A dandelion means healing from emotional pain and physical injury. We are healing and from whatever it is, I pray and hope that we heal from the things, situations or people that hurt us and made us suffer.

Note: What you will read here are unedited versions of my pieces. Also, some other pieces for the printed book are not published here or may have been from my other books.

So I hope you buy a copy of my debut book!

I hope you enjoy reading this one!

When the Last Peso Falls by AlvinLauran
55 parts Complete
In the heart of a small Filipino town, the Manlapig family is entangled in a web of love, conflict, and legacy. When the Last Peso Falls unfolds over 78 chapters, delving into the intricate dynamics of a family whose bonds are tested by the lure of wealth and the struggle for power. The Manlapig family, once united by a shared vision of prosperity, begins to fracture as money becomes both a symbol of their success and a source of deep-seated conflict. The story is anchored by the family's patriarch, Don Gregorio Manlapig, whose fortune has brought both privilege and resentment. As he nears the end of his life, the future of the family's wealth becomes a battleground. His children, each with their own aspirations and grievances, vie for control of the family's assets. His eldest son, Arturo, is driven by ambition but struggles with his own moral compass. His daughter, Isabel, seeks to use her share of the wealth to help the community but faces resistance from her more self-serving siblings. Meanwhile, the youngest, Ricardo, is caught between loyalty to his father and a desire to forge his own path. As tensions rise, secrets are uncovered, and long-buried grievances resurface. The family's once-clear lines of loyalty blur, revealing the true cost of their fortunes. Amidst these struggles, they confront questions of identity, morality, and the real value of family and wealth. When the Last Peso Falls is a powerful exploration of how money can both bind and divide, offering a poignant reflection on the complexities of familial love and the pursuit of legacy. Through the trials and tribulations of the Manlapig family, the novel poses a timeless question: what truly matters when the last peso falls?
