(PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS MY SOFT BOY) Valentina Anastasia Adamovich is no ordinary woman. The daughter of a feared Russian mafia kingpin, she inherited a legacy soaked in blood. Now, as the first female to ever command an army of ruthless, unpredictable men and women, she is a force to be reckoned with. Trained from birth to be a killing machine, she has the blood of a thousand lives on her hands. But the question remains: Can she carry out her next mission-or will her deadly instincts fail her? Dante Azzaro, the indomitable leader of the Italian mafia, is a man whose name strikes fear into the hearts of all who hear it. Cold, calculating, and with one of the most powerful syndicates in the world at his disposal, Dante is a ruthless killer. When a striking woman-Valentina herself-suddenly crosses his path, even he is taken aback. But what happens when a deadly collision between them is inevitable? Not even he knows. When the Italian mafia finds itself compromised by a series of stolen shipments, Dante faces an impossible choice: ally with the Russians, or risk everything for revenge. Will he bend, or will he break? ~~~~~~~~~~~~ She aims her gun at me in an instant, and the men in the room draw their weapons, all pointing at her. She grabs the file, and turns her back on me, her heels clicking against the marble floor as she heads toward the door. I watch her walk away, her hips swaying like she's too damn comfortable in a place she shouldn't even be. I want to feel anger and irritation, but what I feel instead is something more dangerous something that I'm not ready to name. I've dealt with stubborn people before, but Valentina, she's a different breed. "Valentina," I call, keeping my voice controlled, like I'm not about to lose my mind over the mess I'm in. She doesn't stop. I didn't expect her to. She's too damn proud. MATURE CONTENT 18+

And when the truth surfaces, will Amara be able to accept her fate? But the D'Alessandro sons aren't so easily won over. "Stop this marriage," Zorno demands, his fists clenched.Andrea stands firm beside him, silent but supportive. Angelo leans back, a wicked grin on his face. "Chill, Amara. Life with us is going to be 'HELL' , but you'll survive... maybe." Zefrico, quiet as ever, simply mutters, "Don't worry too much. They are being assholes as always" Caught in the dangerous web of family feuds and secrets, Amara also finds herself drawn to Ruzlan Marchetti-a man she knows she shouldn't fall for. From the moment she laid eyes on him, Amara was captivated by his silent strength, his piercing gaze, the way his muscles rippled under his shirt. But Ruzlan wasn't like anyone she'd ever met. "Stay away from me," he warned, though his eyes lingered on her. "I can handle it," she whispered, stepping closer. But Ruzlan was terrified of falling. "I'll only get you hurt." "What do you want?" My voice was cold, my gun already pressing against her abdomen. "You." The word came out soft, a mere brush of her lips against my neck. She smiled, unfazed, leaning in closer, her hands are at my chin, a pistol in her grip, the barrel pointing squarely at me. A tale of hidden identities, ruthless power, and the fine line between love and destruction. Will Amara survive the truth that's about to consume her?

Her name was Gabriella Quintanilla. She was a senior in high school during this time. She had the looks, all the boys, the popularity, the clothes, and even the grades. And in no way was she ignorant of any of these things--quite the opposite. She knew that she was above average in most categories of life, and had no problem reminding people repeatedly of that fact. I'm not going to lie---I didn't like her. Not at all. To be completely honest, I threatened to kill her with my bare hands. And the scary thing is, I meant it. I wanted her to die. I imagined dark fantasies of the light fading from her eyes right before my own, her pleading for me to spare her life. And in my fantasies, I wouldn't listen and I didn't care. She had tortured me for five years and I was utterly and simply sick of it all. Sick of her. My animosity towards Gabriella was no secret among my peers. Not many people liked her, so it's not like I stood alone on the concept. However I was the only one who voiced a threat. THE threat. The threat that got me on a suspect list in some cop's notepad. They want to know if I killed her. If they knew the whole story, would they blame me if I did? ©Copyright Timara M. Lewis 2013
