Ray had gone through hell and back since her mother died when she was nine. She had lived through her older sister committing suicide and her best friend dying at age 19. Her step brother's band was a good enough reason for her continuing to live. Her step mom and her dad had decided that after she graduated she would finally get to go on tour with the band that possibly saved her life.
