Shams was one of the small community of Christian on an island belonging to an Arab country, Aradus. This island was a small island in the White Sea being inhabited by only 3 400 people. The White Sea belonged to the Ottman dynasty so their pirates came over to the island whenever they wanted and one of those times they spotted the breathtaking girl going by the name of Shams. Prince Mehmed was itching to rule a Sanjak like his older brother Mustafa but his mother wouldn't let him in fear that she will have to leave the castle with him like the customs demand.
