Run. It was the only coherent thought constantly being repeated in my head at the time.
Behind me, a heavy pounding echoed throughout the forest. Stupid, stupid Skylar. What the hell were you thinking?! I mentally berated.
But before I even had the chance to answer my own question with the usual; Me? Thinking before doing something? Ha! A large mass of fur collided with my body, causing me to let out a quiet whimper as I fell to the ground with a harsh 'thud'.
Without a second, thought I flipped onto my back prepared to push my attacker off of me, wishing I really hadn't.

Skylar Waters is an 20 year old girl who most would consider strange; never quite fitting in but never really standing out.
