Run. It was the only coherent thought constantly being repeated in my head at the time. Behind me, a heavy pounding echoed throughout the forest. Stupid, stupid Skylar. What the hell were you thinking?! I mentally berated. But before I even had the chance to answer my own question with the usual; Me? Thinking before doing something? Ha! A large mass of fur collided with my body, causing me to let out a quiet whimper as I fell to the ground with a harsh 'thud'. Without a second, thought I flipped onto my back prepared to push my attacker off of me, wishing I really hadn't. ~~~ Skylar Waters is an 20 year old girl who most would consider strange; never quite fitting in but never really standing out. An unexplainable twist of fate forces Skylar to move into her father's old house in the middle of nowhere. Her decision sets off a chain of events that lead to the moment she meets the dark beasts that lurk in the shadows in the small town of Willow, Alaska. What could the world possibly throw at her that she wasn't already prepared for? Why was she so different to everyone else? Why was a mysterious stranger haunting her every thought?
