"My feet pass each other, stride after stride, going faster and faster until eventually I'm running. My lungs felt like they were collapsing as I held on to each and every breath I'm given. The lights are shining bright like the stars on a particularly dark night. I can hear the chatter and hollers of the crowd getting louder and louder as I approached the shining silver of the bleachers. I felt my legs grow sore as I took 12 steps up the side of the stands to get to the student section. There I stood in astonishment as I saw your legs carrying you down farther and farther down the field. The other players tried to reach you. They tried to tackle you but your brain kept telling you to move just a little bit faster which was enough for them to just barely miss you. I chanted your name, trying to encourage you to go just a little quicker. As you crossed the line and held tight onto the ball, the crowd went crazy like we had just won the super bowl. I jumped up and down in celebration as you high fived the other guys. Then you looked at me and I felt my heart melt. I could even see your smile through the bulky helmet and dark colored face mask. That's when I couldn't fight it anymore. I knew I liked you and I knew that I was a fool for that reason."
