Charred Feelings
The sky fogged over. I couldn't carry Aspen any longer. "Let me take the blue one. It'll save me." Tears dripped onto his cheeks as I fed him the ocean blue pill. I prayed. I waited and waited for him to get up. He never did. Everything was chaotic. I wish I could go back. Back to when we didn't hear the voices on the other side of the wall. Curiosity got the best of me. I've put everything in danger. Of course the higher ups wouldn't give me peace for my rebellion and curiosity. The society will kill me if I step out of the line. Staring at the oil painted sun until my body finally gave up trying to find air. I would just drift away with the water. No one here. No one was around. How peaceful.
