Dallan jumped down from the fence, wiping the blood that kept streaming into his vision. He leapt down a flight of stairs and winced when his bad leg landed first. He sprinted around the fountain and into the woods, avoiding trees and skipping over old logs. He could hear the men behind him stumble on the uneven ground, cursing loudly. Making a sharp turn, his feet hit hit the gravel of the hidden path. He breathed out when he finally lost the men, passing the old gates into the graveyard.
