"I sit on one of the stools at the counter with the newspaper in front of me as the door opens. I lift my gaze and there he stands again. His dense hickory toned hair all ruffled, those brown eyes that make me unbalanced when he sizes me up, a nice big coarse beard on his chin. I feel my body beginning to heat up.
"You know Rise & Grind, is a funny name for a coffee shop", he starts as he's comes over to the counter jangling his keys.
"How so?" I wonder.
"Well just listen, Rise", he makes a little paus "and Grind."
"You have a dirty mind Xavier", I say with a bright smile, I can't help myself."
