To say Emily Anderson was surprised when she got a Pulitzer for her opinion piece titled "The Downsides of Having Superheros" would be an understatement. To say Emily was downright floored when she got offered a job in her dream city New York would be an even bigger understatement. She is 24 when she lands a job at the Daily Bugle and starts work as the resident "Superhero Editor." Emily is hesitant about her new boss and colleagues, especially about her partner-in-crime photographer, Peter Parker. She gets suspicious when he gets photos others only dream of getting and when he starts disappearing randomly. Emily becomes increasingly intrigued by Peter Parker so she has to juggle her job and finding out what the hell he is up to.

"You can't just replace the important people in your life. Some of them are going and you eventually find someone even more beautiful, more light-hearted, more lovable. But others leave and you cannot fill that space. Sometimes you know that space is empty and will never be filled by anyone else, because no one could ever make up to your loss." "Who was your girlfriend in this theory?" "She was the latter." "Then you should hold onto her." "Just because she is my latter doesn't mean I'm hers."
